  • Vehicles

    BBR issued Access Pass must be displayed on your vehicles at all times.

  • Bike Paths

    Unless the bike path is unavailable, bike cyclists, walkers, joggers, skaters, and personal mobility devices are to use the bike path, NOT the roadways.

  • Bicycles

    Bicycles may only be used on bike paths or roadways and are not allowed on any nature trails. E-Bikes must be registered at the Glaze Meadow Bike Shop.  E-Bikes must not exceed 15 mph and riders of E-Bikes must wear helmets.  Minimum age for riding E-bikes is 16 years old.

  • Dogs

    • Dogs are welcome at BBR, however, they must be under control by leash at all times when off an Owner's private property
    • IMMEDIATE cleaning up after dogs is required—dog waste bag dispensers and disposal sites are conveniently located at key locations throughout BBR
  • Skateboards, Longboards & Rollerblades

    Skateboards, including but limited to Long Boards, Hover Boards and Onewheels are not allowed. (Rollerblades and Razor Scooters are allowed).

  • Motorcycles & ATVs

    Motorcycles are not allowed beyond the gates of Black Butte Ranch.  ATVs and UTVs are not allowed anywhere on the ranch. (BBR maintenance vehicles are excluded).

  • Parking

    • No parking on roadways or shoulders except for designated areas for pre-authorized events.
    • No overnight parking of trailers, motorhomes or RV”s in any BBR lot (Parking of these are allowed on owner property, however, limited to 48 hours).
  • Firearms

     Discharging of firearms  is prohibited.

  • Fireworks

    All fireworks (possession, use, and sale of) are prohibited.

  • Swimming in Lakes & Streams

    Swimming and/or wading in all lakes and streams is prohibited.

  • Fishing in Lakes & Streams

    Fishing is prohibited in any lake or stream other than Lake Phalarope. Where fishing is permitted, it shall be fly fishing only with barbless hooks and a catch and release procedure.  An Oregon fishing license is required.

  • Floatation Devices

    Flotation devices on all lakes and streams are prohibited. The only exceptions are BBR provided rental equipment during designated hours on Lake Phalarope.
